Customised Reporting

John Tinnelly and Sons, based outside Newry in County Down, are specialists in demolition and dismantling, asbestos removal, facade retention, metal recycling and architectural salvage.

As part of their site survey process, the firm were using a proprietary software package to track items relating to each project. However, the software was not designed for this specific purpose and its shortcomings were soon becoming evident, limiting the processing and presentation which was possible with the collated data.

K-Point developed an application to import the data from its native Microsoft Access format, map it to additional data such as site photographs, and to produce bespoke PDF report formats complete with company logo. Tinnelly Environmental continue to use their original software for a large part of the project management, but can now use the complementary custom reporting application to produce professional, attractive client reports.
