Domain names
 Domain names are basically a way of mapping a readable (and memorable) address such as www.kpoint.co.uk to a unique computer or server address.
When a domain name is registered it needs to be configured to point to the server where that website's files are stored. A request to your domain name then results in the domain name being looked up in a global database and the user directed to that server where they can view your files.
